His father's name is Rajeev Mehra. He was married to Devika Mehra in 2009 and got divorced in 2018. After that, in 2021 he tied the knot with Nidhi Seth in 2021 and parted ways in 2023.

After that, he moved to Delhi, where he completed his 11th and 12th grades at Delhi Public School (DPS). He later graduated in Advertising And Sales Promotion from Delhi College of Arts & Commerce. Karan added "Veer" to his name following his grandmother's request, as it was the name of his late grandfather.
